Minsung Jang is a Principal Inventive Scientist at the AT&T Labs - Research. His current research concerns software methods and platforms that accelerate packet processing for NFV applications in SDN environments. He is also interested in virtualization technologies for cloud computing. More generally, his interests are in experimental systems, ranging from working with hypervisors, to operating systems, to innovative middleware and applications, with past work including contributions to multimedia file systems, real-time embedded Linux systems, and the XenARM project.
Before joining the AT&T labs, he had worked for 10 years as a researcher at various companies including Samsung Advanced Institue of Technology/Samsung Electronics, Intel labs, Nokia North American Research Center, and IBM research. Minsung obtained his Ph.D. in computer science at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned undergraduate and master’s degrees from Yonsei University, Korea.
