Anestis Karasaridis is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Labs where he works on applied research problems in network security, data mining, and optimization.
His current research focuses on DNS anomaly and Botnet detection, areas in which he develops algorithms and prototype tools to support AT&T’s security services. He has 12 filed and pending patents, and published over 20 papers in the areas of security, data modeling, content routing optimization and overload control. He is author of the book DNS Security.
In 2011, he received the AT&T Labs President’s Excellence Award for innovation.
Anestis holds a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, an MSEE from the University of Pennsylvania, and Dipl. Eng. from AUTH, Greece. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
