There are no transients when iteration is started at these values.

Between initial values 502 and 1024 several apparently very long iteration sequences arise. Such critical initial values are collected in A077085.

FORMULA

Solutions to A077083[x]=1 or A077080[A077080[x]=x.

EXAMPLE

Remark that e.g. 864 as fixed point appears several times when A077080 iterated with initial value n=8,9,...; first without transient when started at n=864[per definitionem]. Next fixed point is most probably 570240 [ !?].
