EXAMPLE

It is provable that (beyond 1 and 2) the largest

values in 3x+1 trajectories should be divisible

by 4. However, infinite number of 4k numbers

cannot be largest in this sense.

E.g. iv=16k+12=4.(4k+3) is an impossible peak

because its trajectory includes larger number as follows:

[16k+12]--[8k+6]--[4k+3]--[12k+10]--[6k+5]--[18k+16]>16k+12.
