COMMENT

One possibility is that this was intended to have a(2n)=A016777(n) at the even indices and a(2n+1)=4a(2n)-9n, a shifted version of A016777, at the odd indices. However, inspection shows that this does not match the present sequence. - R. J. Mathar (mathar(AT)strw.leidenuniv.nl), Feb 20 2008
