COMMENT

This sequence gives the difference of squares of distance from the origin to the nth term, in two different types of Hilbert's curves on NxN grid (A163357 and A163334). Because the former is based on the powers of 4 and the latter on the powers of 9, the graph of this sequence contains dramatic swings.
